Chest Workouts (Beginner)






To build muscle a beginner should follow a simple yet highly effective compound movement dominant bodybuilding routine.

The below are great chest routines for a beginner that involve compound exercises to quickly build a solid foundation of muscle size and strength.

Note: Always make sure that you warm up thoroughly before doing any weight training to protect your joints and avoid injury.

Routine #1:

Bench Press 2 X 15
Incline Dumbbell Press 2 X 15

Routine #2:

Dips 2 X 12
Flat Bench Dumbbell Press 2 X 15

Routine #3:

Incline Bench Press 2 X 15
Incline Dumbbell Press 2 X 15

Note: All of the above exercises should be done as part of a whole body workout routine.
